Lake Travis Republican
Background and Purpose
Membership and Dues
Lake Travis Republican Club (LTRC), was founded in 1994,
and serves members in western Travis County (TX)
by providing information about Republican activities, primarily
at the county and state level. This is done by publishing
a newsletter and by conducting eight meetings a year. At
each luncheon meeting, a guest speaker presents views on
current issues and answers questions raised by the audience.
Membership is open to Republican voters from throughout the area. Annual dues of $25 per member ($10 for students, spouses and associate members) are used to pay for the publication of the Lake Travis Republican newsletter, cover administrative expenses and reduce the cost of the lunches (currently $15.) No money is used to support candidates for office. LTRC normally has about 200 members.
Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. in the Waterfall Room of the Hills Country Club, located near Lakeway, TX. There are no meetings in June, July, August and December.
The current edition of the Lake Travis Republican newsletter contains the details about the upcoming meeting and guest speaker.
LTRC is governed by a twelve-member Board of Directors elected by the general membership to serve overlapping two-year terms.
